The Kalua pork, lau lau, and ... a slightly sweet salad (I forgot the name!) with poi makes for a shareable meal for 2. After you eat at the picnic tables, chicken visitors are complimentary and a sure bet, return to the ice cream window and order the Sweet Lady of Waiahole - again shareable. Make the trip and you'll be glad you did.

There was no line despite being close to Kualoa Ranch! They have picnic tables outside to eat and there are chickens nearby. The kanaka nui plate is perfect for trying everything out and I got beef luau and rice, which is great for beginners and always a classic. As a Filipino, I wish there was one more scoop of rice! Lol. The tea was so good and fruity and refreshing. The haupia piece in the plate is soooo yummy. The sweet lady of waiahole was the stand out. It's not too sweet and the taro/coconut topping adds a perfect texture. It was a great dessert. I recommend after spending a day at Kualoa ranch!

The sweet lady automatically gets a 10/10, that warm kulolo always hits the spot. This is one of my favorite places to go when I'm headed towards the north shore. My favorite is getting their squid luau, not very sweet more savory. All their food is good, and fresh/hot! They have a small parking lot, and street parking which is easy to find. They have a few tables if you want to eat there.

I've only been here a few times so far and for only 1 reason - the Sweet Lady of Waiahole dessert. I will drive 30 mins from home just to get this. Hits the spot on a hot sunny day and perfect way to start your trek around the island. 5-stars for sure! Can't comment on any of the food, but I will try that one day!
